Dr. Burton Sundin
Dr. Sundin completed his medical degree at Duke University Medical Center in 1997, followed by residency in plastic surgery at the same university in 2003. He went on to complete two advanced fellowships in cosmetic surgery and hand surgery from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and the pre-eminent Christine M. Kleinert Institute for Hand and Microsurgery respectively. He also earned a faculty appointment as an Instructor while at UAB.
Dr. Sundin is board certified by the prestigious American Board of Plastic Surgery. He has published and presented numerous scientific papers related to cosmetic, plastic and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Sundin remains actively engaged and updated about new developments in plastic surgery, and is a member of several leading professional societies, including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS).
Dr. Sundin has been chosen as a Council Member and Expert Witness and Advisor in multiple areas in the field of plastic surgery. His expertise also extends to the cutting edge area of biotechnology and medical devices related to plastic surgery, cosmetic surgery, and wound healing.
Dr. Reps Sundin
Dr. Reps Sundin received training in general surgery at the University of Kentucky and achieved top score in his class. He was chosen as one of the few residents for an integrated plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center. He also pursued research in plastic surgery during medical school, having obtained an NIH fellowship. At medical school, he was elected as vice president of the exclusive medical school honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha.
Following his residency, Dr. Sundin was selected as an Aesthetic Surgery Fellow at the prestigious Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital in association with the Institute of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery at New York University Medical Center. During his fellowship, Dr. Sundin had independent operating privileges and ran his own cosmetic clinic. He also participated in the education and supervision of NYU plastic surgery residents.
Dr. Sundin is a board certified plastic surgeon, certified by the prestigious American Board of Plastic Surgery. He has published and presented several scientific papers at national conferences. He has won numerous scholarships and awards during the course of his career. In 2009, Dr. Sundin was a part of the medical aid mission to Dominican Republic.
