FaceTite is a non-surgical procedure for the rejuvenation of the face and small areas of the body. The procedure is capable of giving results similar to a facelift, but without any excisional plastic surgery. The procedure uses targeted Radio Frequency (RF) energy to tighten the dermis.
FaceTite has a key advantage over facelift for certain patients. Unlike facelift, this procedure can be easily performed in-office using local anesthesia.
Unlike facelift, no incisions are involved in FaceTite treatment. It is a simple procedure that requires only tiny pin pricks that get healed quickly. The Virginia Institute of Plastic Surgery, led by board certified plastic surgeons, provides FaceTite to patients in Northern Virginia, Washington DC, Vienna, McLean, Loudoun, Ashburn, Tysons Corner, Reston, Arlington, Chevy Chase, Richmond, Fredericksburg, and surrounding locations in this part of the country.
Differences between Facelift and FaceTite
FaceTite is a safer, non-surgical version of the conventional facelift plastic surgery. The RF energy which is applied through the FaceTite process penetrates deeper facial tissues and melts the surplus fat. At the same time, it also shrinks the loose facial skin tissue. The heat energy stimulates the growth of collagen and volumizes the face, thereby reducing the signs of aging from the face in a natural looking way.
Facelift surgery, on the other hand, is a highly invasive procedure that involves excisional surgery to lift the sagging facial tissues, redistribute the facial fat, and firm up the underlying weak muscles of the face. In this procedure, the loose skin of the face is trimmed away. Incisions are required to perform the procedure, which will leave some scarring in discreet locations like the hairline and the natural creases of the face.
Which procedure to choose?
It depends on the severity of skin laxity and the personal aesthetic requirements of a patient. Most patients will have an option to choose either FaceTite or a facelift. FaceTite is a minimally invasive procedure that does not cause any scarring and involves a minimal recovery period for patients with mild to the moderate skin laxity on the face.
FaceTite versus Facelift Results
A FaceTite procedure improves the fullness of face as well as facial skin laxity. The results are roughly equivalent to one-third of the effects of a full conventional facelift surgery. The results are natural looking and will last for years.
Although FaceTite can be used anywhere above the shoulders, but commonly it is used to rejuvenate the following areas:
Eyes Mouth Forehead Jaw line Jowls Neck Nasolabial folds Brows Cheeks
The results of FaceTite are not as vivid as the results from the facelift surgery. FaceTite produces more subtle and under-stated outcomes. It firms up the loose skin, provides a toned and youthful appearance to the jaw line, cheeks and other areas.
