Silicone gel implants have been green lit by the FDA and safe to use when there are not any issues with them. However, when they rupture, the FDA advises the removal of the implant and any gel.

But silicone gel ruptures are silent (the patient does not know if there is any issues), which means that only an MRI scan can detect such ruptures.

Therefore, the FDA recommends that women receive an MRI scan every alternate year to check if their implants have ruptured. The Ideal implant offers a natural feel and these negative attributes don’t apply to it – the risk of a rupture without the user knowing don’t apply. This is outstanding and something that should be applauded.

These implants create a youthful shape and contour and offer many benefits that women value over round silicone gel implants.

A woman can simply look in the mirror to see whether her implants are intact. These implants allow women to have the advantage of a natural feel without losing their peace of mind.

Modern Body Contouring & Laser Center, led by board certified plastic surgeons Dr. Burton M. Sundin and Dr. Reps B. Sundin, provides breast augmentation surgery to patients in Northern Virginia, Washington DC, Vienna, McLean, Loudoun, Ashburn, Tysons Corner, Reston, Arlington, Chevy Chase, Richmond, Fredericksburg, and surrounding locations.

Benefits of Ideal Implant over Silicone Gel Implants

Women want a natural, safe, and beautiful outcomes that do not leave them wondering if there may have been an implant rupture. The Ideal implant structured breast implant technology provides women with many of the advantages of silicone and saline gel implants, without some of the limitations:

Youthful Shape and Natural Feel

The implants are filled with saline, which the body can safely absorb in case of an implant rupture. There is no sticky silicone gel from ruptured implants going into surrounding tissues. No silent rupture and women will know when their implants are intact. These implants have a higher rupture strength and a lower rate of rupture. Smaller incisions are required for placement in comparison to silicone gel implants. No need to undergo expensive MRI scans necessary to detect silicone gel rupture. Implants have a smooth surface.

Ideal Implant Benefits

Lower rate of rupture Lower rate of capsule contracture Higher rupture strength Smaller incision Removal is easy

Ideal Implant Filler Advantages

Only contains saline for peace of mind Safety of saline, which can be harmlessly absorbed by the body View the mirror and know whether implants are intact

Ideal Implant Rupture Advantages

Lower rate of rupture No risk of silicone gel in tissues No MRI scans required to detect ruptures No silent ruptures

Design

Several years of research and testing has led to the creation of this unique design, created to better meet the needs of women seeking a natural appearance and feel without the concerns associated with silicone gel implants.

In the Ideal implant, a series of implant shells are nested together, and distinct chambers hold the saline filler.

The innovative internal structure controls the motion of the saline for a more natural feel, while simultaneously reducing the wrinkling and folding, though to be the primary reasons for implant rupture and deflation. The edges on the outside have been lowered for more natural contouring of the chest wall.

Experience

In 2014, the Ideal implant received FDA and Health Canada approval on the basis of results from a multi-center US clinical trial with 502 participants that commenced in 2009.

The Ideal Implant is manufactured in the US using advanced robotics to attain greater product consistency. Our FDA-inspected facility has been producing silicone medical devices for more than 30 years.

To enable women to feel confident in their choice of the Ideal implant, quality is built-in, and a limited warranty is included.
